Designed to feel more like a living room than a traditional studio, Tranter Studios was created as a “home away from home”, a place where you can relax, learn, create, and collaborate with ease.
We know it can be intimidating to record in a studio, especially if your project isn’t totally ready. That’s why we’ve created a space where you can enjoy the journey, experiment, and figure things out as you go.
It’s the type of studio we always dreamed of recording in, so we worked hard to make it reality.

About us
Robbie
Co-founder / Producer / TutorWith over a decade of experience in the music industry and having played guitar for half his life, Robbie is a music producer, performer, and teacher who thrives on helping musicians bring their visions to life. A graduate with a BA(Hons) in Music Technology and Music Performance, he has performed in numerous Scottish bands, most notably Mountains Under Oceans, where he was known for his “one-take wonders.”
Whether producing music, teaching guitar, or mixing your tracks, Robbie is dedicated to creating an affordable, and comfortable space for musicians in Glasgow to express themselves and grow creatively.
Co-founder / Artist / DesignerKait
A designer by trade and musician at heart, Kait is an all-round creative whose goal is to create the bridge between art and music. A graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, her journey has taken her from the world of design to the stages of iconic venues like King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and the Poetry Club.
Her music, has resonated with audiences, earning recognition on BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio among others.
Driven by a passion for storytelling and self-expression, Kait seeks to combine design expertise with her love of music that inspire and empower musicians and artists.
It’s where your story meets your sound, and we provide the space to make it happen.
As creatives ourselves, we understand that creativity is not linear, and you can’t always time-box inspiration. Our pay-as-you-go model ensures you have the freedom to take the time you need - whether it’s an hour or a full day.
